💨 Abstract

The National Hurricane Center warns of dangerous rip currents and high surf along the East Coast, the Bahamas, Bermuda, and Canadian Atlantic due to Hurricane Erin. The storm is expected to grow, increasing its impact. Rip currents will intensify before high waves, posing a significant risk. Since 2013, 12% of U.S. storm-related deaths have been due to rip currents.
