💨 Abstract

During the Alaska summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin made concessions on his "land swap" demands for Ukrainian territory. His envoy, Steve Witkoff, noted that Russia was now considering the swap along the current contact line rather than administrative borders of certain regions. This shift, though significant, is not enough for a full peace agreement. Witkoff also mentioned that U.S. President Donald Trump has shifted focus from an immediate ceasefire to a broader peace agreement, citing substantial progress in discussions.
