💨 Abstract
Guatemala's foreign ministry announced that consular officials will visit the "Alligator Alcatraz" detention center in Florida on August 7. The visit aims to identify and interview 14 detained Guatemalan men. Authorities will also assess their conditions and provide support throughout their immigration process. This follows recent access issues faced by Mexican consular representatives and the return of two Mexican detainees to Mexico.
