Europe faces its worst wildfire season, with intense fires burning across France, Spain, Portugal, Albania, Greece, and Italy. So far, nearly 971,246 hectares have burned, more than double the usual amount. Spain deployed 1,000 firefighters, with evacuations in Tarifa. Portugal faces severe heat, with 1,200 firefighters fighting a major blaze.
