💨 Abstract
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has established a commission to draft an electoral reform proposal. The commission, led by Pablo Gómez, will evaluate the current electoral model and collaborate with legislators, academics, and citizens to ensure the reform prioritizes democracy and public participation. Sheinbaum aims to reduce election costs, limit public funding to political parties, and decrease the number of senators and deputies. The initiative reflects her earlier commitment to electoral reform.
