💨 Abstract

In November 2025, the U.S. added 64,000 jobs after losing 105,000 in October due to government shutdown-related data collection issues. The unemployment rate rose to 4.6%, its highest in four years. October's job loss was partly due to delayed layoffs from the Department of Government Efficiency. The October unemployment rate was not published for the first time in nearly 80 years.
