đ¨ Abstract
An Ohio couple, Linda and Tim Pierce, welcomed a baby boy from an embryo that had been frozen for over 30 years. This embryo was donated by Linda Archerd in 1994, and the successful birth marks a record for the longest-frozen embryo resulting in a live birth. The concept of embryo adoption, driven by religious beliefs and ethical considerations about discarding leftover embryos, is gaining traction as more frozen embryos remain in limbo across fertility clinics.
