đź’¨ Abstract
Russia is increasingly using drones in swarms to attack Ukraine, with numbers escalating daily. This surge coincides with a U.S. deadline for a ceasefire or face new sanctions. Russia has improved its Shahed drones, originally from Iran, and produces them domestically, enhancing their capabilities. This drone warfare taxes Ukraine's defenses, with Russia aiming for up to 2,000 drones per attack. Russia is also formalizing its drone units into a separate military branch.
