The New York Mets secured a 4-3 win against the Pittsburgh Pirates thanks to Pete Alonso's ninth-inning sacrifice fly and a critical error by Pirates shortstop Isiah Kiner-Falefa. Paul Skenes pitched solidly for the Pirates, but the Mets scored two runs in the seventh inning. Juan Soto tied the game, and Luisangel Acuña scored on an error. Francisco Lindor also made an error, contributing to the Mets' victory.
