💨 Abstract
In May 2025, a Spanish court convicted five Valladolid fans of racially abusing Real Madrid's Vinícius Júnior, marking the first hate crime ruling for stadium racism in Spain. They received one-year suspended prison sentences and fines. Spain's league called the ruling a milestone in combating racism in soccer. Last year, Valencia had three fans receive 8-month sentences for similar offenses.
