💨 Abstract
The Trump administration has asked the Supreme Court to halt a lower court's order for Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to release documents to a watchdog group, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW). The administration argues that DOGE is not subject to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The federal appeals court, after some delays, reinstated the order for DOGE to comply by June 13.
