The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Texas Rangers 2-1, led by Kevin Gausman’s strong eight-inning performance and Daulton Varsho’s solo homer. Gausman struck out six with no walks. DeGrom suffered his first loss in seven starts. Varsho's homer and Kirk’s sacrifice fly sealed the win, despite Texas' Wyatt Langford homering.
