In a close match, Keider Montero and Riley Greene led the Detroit Tigers to a 3-1 victory over the San Francisco Giants. Montero pitched five scoreless innings, while Greene drove in two runs. The Tigers scored in the fourth and fifth innings, while the Giants scored in the sixth. Hayden Birdsong took the loss. Noticeably, Tigers outfielder Javier Báez was ejected in the fifth inning. The teams will meet again on Tuesday.
