đź’¨ Abstract
Jean-Philippe Mateta, a striker for Crystal Palace, had a remarkable but tumultuous season. Before the FA Cup final against Manchester City, Mateta will wear protective headgear, covering his left ear, which was severely injured in a match against Millwall. Mateta had 25 stitches and was out for nearly a month following the incident. Initially struggling in England, his performance improved under manager Oliver Glasner, scoring 30 goals in the past two seasons.
