💨 Abstract
On May 15, 2025, in a memorable game, Shohei Ohtani hit two home runs and drove in six runs for the Los Angeles Dodgers against the Oakland Athletics. However, in a surprising turn, he was struck out in the eighth inning by Jhonny Pereda, the Athletics' backup catcher. Ohtani had fouled off a few pitches but ultimately swung and missed.
