💨 Abstract
All-Star pitcher Corbin Burnes of the Arizona Diamondbacks will have Tommy John surgery, ending his season. The surgery, recommended after recent elbow inflammation, is scheduled for next week. Burnes, who is 3-2 with a 2.66 ERA in 11 starts this year, signed with the Diamondbacks after earning four consecutive All-Star nods. The team expressed support for Burnes and plans to rally around him.
