💨 Abstract
Houston Astros shortstop Jeremy Peña has been placed on the 10-day injured list due to a fractured rib sustained during a game against the Chicago Cubs. The injury, a small fracture in Peña’s left rib cage, was initially undetected by X-rays but revealed by later scans. Peña, who is leading the league with a .322 batting average, will accompany the team on their upcoming road trip while recovering. The team will announce a corresponding roster move on Tuesday.
