💨 Abstract
Mitch Garver, the Mariners' catcher, was removed from Thursday's game in Minnesota after suffering an injury from a foul ball. The ball hit Garver's mask, and though the team examined him, they decided to bench him. Losing Garver forced the Mariners to use starting catcher Cal Raleigh at the plate for the rest of the game, requiring them to forfeit the designated hitter.
