💨 Abstract
The San Diego Padres placed All-Star outfielder Jackson Merrill on the seven-day injured list after he suffered a concussion during a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The injury occurred when Merrill was tagged on the helmet while attempting a stolen base. Replacing him on the roster is Trenton Brooks, called up from Triple-A El Paso.
