💨 Abstract
Max Scherzer, a three-time Cy Young Award winner, made his first appearance for the Toronto Blue Jays since March, pitching five innings and allowing three runs. Scherzer, 40, signed a one-year deal with the Blue Jays in February but has faced injuries, including an inflamed right thumb. He threw 83 pitches, with 55 for strikes, and acknowledged some rustiness.
