💨 Abstract
Three-time figure skating world champion Kaori Sakamoto of Japan announced her planned retirement after the 2026 Winter Olympics. The 25-year-old, who won bronze in the 2022 Winter Olympics and silver in the 2025 World Championships, stated that she feels her age is catching up and aims to conclude her career at 26, finding competing at 29, her age for the 2030 Olympics, unreasonable.
