💨 Abstract
In 2025, Luis Gil had his first live batting practice session since straining his right lat in spring training. Throwing about 20 pitches, he struck out four batters. Yankees manager Aaron Boone praised his performance, noting Gil's velocity and control. Gil, 26, went 15-7 with a 3.50 ERA in 2024, his first full season since recovering from Tommy John surgery.
