Andre Pallante pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing just one hit as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Miami Marlins 7-1. Pallante improved to 6-7 after a strong performance, striking out four. Alec Burleson homered for the Cardinals, while Edward Cabrera took the loss for the Marlins, allowing two runs in six innings. The Cardinals scored five runs in the seventh inning to secure the victory.
