Oakland Athletics pitcher José Leclerc will undergo right shoulder surgery after being shut down due to continuing instability. He has been on the injured list since late April and had a 6.00 ERA in 10 games this season. Athletics manager Mark Kotsay expressed hope for a quick recovery. Leclerc, 31, has a career ERA of 3.34 over 360 games.
