💨 Abstract
Alpine, a Formula 1 team, has named Steve Nielsen as its new managing director. Nielsen, known for his extensive experience in the sport, will start in September and report to executive advisor Flavio Briatore. His appointment follows the departure of Oli Oakes in May. Nielsen previously worked with Alpine's predecessor teams, Benetton and Renault, and has held roles at the FIA and Formula One. Alpine is currently 10th in the constructors' standings.
