On the first day of the British Open at Royal Portrush, Rory McIlroy started shaky, missing a short par putt, but completed a 1-under 70, keeping him in the tournament. Despite struggling off the tee and a rough stretch, local fans remains supportive. McIlroy, now in the career Grand Slam club, is three shots back, giving him a chance to win his second claret jug.
