💨 Abstract

The Texas Rangers reinstated outfielder Evan Carter from the bereavement list for the game against the San Diego Padres and designated Billy McKinney for assignment. Carter, who hit .283 with four home runs and eight steals this season, will play in the center field and bat fifth. McKinney, who had a brief stint with the team, will either be traded, released, or sent to the minor leagues, as the Rangers have seven days to decide.
