Kansas City Royals closer Carlos Estévez was named to the American League All-Star roster, replacing Jacob deGrom, who will miss the game due to a scheduled start. Estévez, a 2023 All-Star, has 25 saves and a 2.03 ERA in 39 appearances this season. Meanwhile, Seattle Mariners' Julio Rodríguez will not participate in the All-Star Game to rest and prepare for the second half of the season.
