💨 Abstract
The WNBA announced plans to add three more teams by 2030, bringing the total to 18. The new teams will be in Cleveland (2028), Detroit (2029), and Philadelphia (2030), joining previously announced franchises in Toronto and Portland. Indiana Fever's Sophie Cunningham criticized the choices, especially Cleveland and Detroit, which previously had WNBA teams, and suggested Miami, Nashville, or Kansas City might be better fits.
