Philadelphia Union secured a 2-1 win over CF Montreal. Tai Baribo scored early for Philadelphia, but Prince Owusu equalized for Montreal. Olwethu Makhanya scored his first career goal in the second half for Philadelphia. Blake and Breza were solid in goal. The Union lead the Eastern Conference, while CF Montreal remains at the bottom of the table. Philadelphia plays Houston Dynamo next, while Montreal hosts the Chicago Fire.
