Major League Soccer's Toronto FC terminated the contracts of its two highest-paid players, wingers Lorenzo Insigne and Federico Bernardeschi, through mutual agreements. Insigne, previously the league's highest-paid player, and Bernardeschi had combined salaries of $21.7 million, which was 64% of Toronto's payroll.
