💨 Abstract
The New York Yankees acquired veteran outfielder Austin Slater from the Chicago White Sox. Slater can play all outfield positions and will help replace star Aaron Judge, who is out indefinitely due to an elbow injury. The Yankees sent minor league pitcher Gage Ziehl to Chicago and will assume part of Slater's salary. This is the latest in a series of trades for New York ahead of Thursday's deadline.
