💨 Abstract
In a pregame ceremony, the Seattle Mariners retired the iconic No. 51, honoring Ichiro Suzuki. Suzuki, a Hall of Fame inductee, becomes the third player to have his number retired by the franchise, alongside Ken Griffey Jr. and Edgar Martinez. Suzuki is the first Japanese-born player inducted into the Hall of Fame with a 99.7% vote.
