In the National Bank Open semifinal, Karen Khachanov of Russia defeated top-seeded Alexander Zverev of Germany 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (4) to reach the final. Khachanov will face the winner of the match between Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton. Zverev, ranked third globally, was the highest-seeded player after top contenders Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz skipped the tournament.
