The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Chicago Cubs 5-0 on Friday night. Michael McGreevy pitched six scoreless innings, and Jordan Walker hit a home run, driving in two runs. The Cardinals’ relief pitchers maintained the shutout. Matthew Boyd took the loss for the Cubs, allowing three runs. Yadier Molina was present as a temporary coach, and the Cubs will face the Cardinals again on Saturday.
