💨 Abstract
England's Marlie Packer will miss the final warmup against France but will play in their opening Women’s Rugby World Cup match after receiving a one-match ban for a red card offense. The stand-in captain was sent off in a warmup match against Spain for targeting and bending the leg of Spain's fullback Claudia Pena in a ruck. Packer disputed the severity of the foul but was ruled to have committed reckless foul play.
