On August 4, 2025, Cincinnati Reds pitcher Nick Lodolo left a game against the Chicago Cubs due to a blister on his left index finger. Lodolo was performing well, having retired the first five batters and striking out one. With the Reds leading 1-0, lodolo was replaced by Nick Martinez in the second inning.
