Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes pitched six shutout innings, striking out eight, as the Pirates defeated the Cincinnati Reds 7-0. Bryan Reynolds and Henry Davis hit home runs, with Reynolds also scoring the first run. Pittsburgh's strong first-inning performance continued, scoring 18 runs in the first over their last seven games. Skenes remains undefeated against Cincinnati and lowered his ERA to a MLB-best 1.94.
