💨 Abstract
In Culiacan, Mexico, veterinarians loaded exotic animals, including tigers, monkeys, and lions, from the Ostok Sanctuary into trucks to escape increasing cartel violence. The sanctuary, housing 700 animals, faces threats and supply shortages due to a power struggle between rival Sinaloa cartel factions. The evacuation aims to relocate these animals to safer environments.
