💨 Abstract

A Falls Church man, Rui Jiang, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for attempting a mass shooting at a Haymarket church in 2023. Jiang was convicted of obstructing religious practices, making online threats, and firearms violations. He was found with a handgun, ammunition, and knives during Sunday services. Jiang's manifesto expressed intent to kill congregants, violating their freedom of religion.
