Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin has scheduled a special election for Sept. 9 to fill the seat of Rep. Gerry Connolly, who passed away in May. The 11th District, covering most of Fairfax County and the City of Fairfax, is expected to remain Democratic. Candidates include Democratic front-runner Andrew Walkinshaw and Republicans Mike Van Meter and Nathan Headrick.
