The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Washington Nationals 6-1 on Sunday, completing a three-game sweep and extending their winning streak to eight games, the longest since August 2022. Lars Nootbaar, Willson Contreras, and Nolan Arenado hit home runs for the Cardinals, with Miles Mikolas pitching 5 1/3 innings, allowing one run. Contreras' blast was his sixth of the season and Gore hit 75 strikeouts.
