đź’¨ Abstract
A new Amnesty International report documents the harrowing experiences of over 70 Kenyan women who faced exploitation and abuse as domestic workers in Saudi Arabia. These women were deceived by recruitment agents, denied rest days, and worked under inhumane conditions with little or no pay. The report highlights cases like Bigeni Maina Mwangi, who worked unpaid for 17 months, and Mejuma Shaban Ali, who escaped her employer disguised as taking out trash.
