The Texas Rangers defeated the struggling Washington Nationals 4-2 on Sunday. Evan Carter and Jake Burger both hit triples short of a cycle, with Carter hitting a two-run homer and Burger providing an insurance run with his homer in the eighth. The Rangers won consecutive games for the first time since May. Alex Call homered for the Nationals, who have struggled offensively, scoring only 11 runs in their past seven games.
