💨 Abstract

Washington Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz was placed on the 10-day injured list after being struck on the head by a foul ball in the dugout. Drew Millas was recalled from Triple-A Rochester to replace him. Ruiz was hit by a foul ball off teammate Josh Bell's bat and left the game immediately. This incident is the second in five days involving a player being injured by a foul ball in the dugout.
