💨 Abstract
The Washington Nationals finished May with a 15-12 record and moved into third place in the NL East despite a 3-1 loss at Arizona to start June. Their strong offense, scoring nine runs in the last two games against Seattle and nine and 11 in the first two games at Arizona, has been key. The New York Mets lead the NL East, followed by Philadelphia. The Baltimore Orioles remain in the AL East cellar but have shown slight improvement.
