💨 Abstract

In northern India, at least 14 people died and six were critically injured after consuming spurious liquor in five villages near Amritsar. Seven suspects were arrested for supplying the toxic liquor. Authorities launched a crackdown on illegitimate liquor supplies and sent medical teams to the villages. The incident highlights a recurrent issue in rural India, where cheap, contaminated liquor is often consumed. Authorities are trying to prevent further fatalities.
