💨 Abstract
Thomas Parker, a British man, pleaded for leniency in a Bali court after a drug trafficking charge carrying the death penalty was dropped. Parker was arrested in January on suspicion of collecting a package containing MDMA. Originally charged with trafficking, the charge was reduced to hiding information from authorities after Parker proved he did not order the package, sent by a drug dealer friend. Prosecutors sought a one-year prison term, but Parker's fate will be decided on May 27.
