💨 Abstract

Hundreds of homeless individuals, including Teresa, a 54-year-old Spanish-Ecuadorian, have been living in Madrid's Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport due to Spain's housing crisis and soaring rental costs. For six months, authorities have neither assisted them nor evicted them. Spain's airport operator, AENA, plans to restrict airport access during low-travel hours, leaving Teresa and others uncertain about their next steps.
