Japan's Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba spoke with U.S. President Donald Trump, agreeing to productive tariff talks. Ishiba reiterated Japan's stance on dropping U.S. tariffs on Japanese imports, particularly autos, steel, and aluminum. The leaders also discussed security cooperation and Trump's Middle East visit. They plan to meet again at the G7 summit. Ishiba emphasized Japanese investment in the U.S. to create jobs.
